About Dr. Ashley Cauthen
Dr. Ashley Cauthen is a native Floridian and grew up in northern Marion County. She moved to Tampa to pursue her undergraduate degree at the University of South Florida’s Honor College, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. From there, she enrolled in Florida State University’s College of Medicine, where she successfully completed her graduate medical studies.
Dr. Cauthen is married to her high school sweetheart, Thomas Cauthen, who has worked tirelessly to help her launch MidState Skin Institute, a dream she’s had for many years. Since opening in 2013, MidState has expanded to three offices across Central Florida. Dr. Cauthen practices general and surgical dermatology, as well as cosmetic. The couple is blessed with two beautiful, energetic children, Madison and Brody and one sassy office dog, Roxy.
